Below are the data collection tools that we plan to use throughout the study.
Student Outcomes:
Student outcomes will be measured both qualitatively and quantitatively. Surveys will be administered at the start and end of the semester. Institutional data will be requested for ALL students in the traditional and hybrid classes (note this includes students not participating in study). Homework and exam grades will be matched to survey and institutional data.

Cost Analysis
The following tools will be used to measure the resources that went into creating and delivering the course. Most data collected will be in the form of time spent on the various activities. The faculty and TAs will be asked to complete the cost tracking tool three times throughout the semester. The first time will be during the first week or two of the semester and this will capture the resources that went into developing and preparing for the course. In conjunction with each faculty, a member from the Ithaka S+R team will work through this tool the first time to ensure accuracy. The cost tracking tool will also be administered during the middle and end of the course in order to assess the costs that go into delivering the course.
